Scott A. Bakken

Scott Bakken is the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for Energy Fuels. With more than 25 years in the mining and nuclear energy sectors, Mr. Bakken holds a key position in overseeing all regulatory relations, compliance and licensing, and environment, health and safety. His expertise extends to financial assurance and sustainability programs, and he plays a significant role in mergers & acquisitions.

Prior to joining Energy Fuels in 2014, Mr. Bakken held a series of increasingly responsible positions with Cameco Corporation’s U.S. subsidiaries, Cameco Resources and Power Resources, Inc., where he gained extensive experience in uranium recovery. Preceding that, he was the Environmental Manager and Compliance Officer for MDU Resources Group, Inc.’s mining and construction materials subsidiary, Knife River Corporation, where he was responsible for corporate environmental, code of conduct and ethics programs. He began his career with the Water Resources Division of the U.S. Geological Survey.

Mr. Bakken earned a bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of Minnesota Duluth and is a Certified Professional Geologist in the State of Wyoming.
